Winter in the Countryside

There's something so special about the English countryside, isn't there? No matter where in the world you come from, its rolling green fields, gloomy skies, and soft, steady rain that keeps everything so lush and alive, somehow it all feels comforting, like a place you've known even if you've never been.

I imagined this enchanting little corner of it entirely from my head, a wintertown tucked away on the other side of the world, geese drifting overhead, sheep grazing lazily below, and flowers just beginning to bloom as winter loosens its grip. Illustrating it felt like living a small part of that journey myself, one petal, one wingbeat, one blade of grass at a time.
